IN THE BEGINNING
Avenue Church is a non-denominational church where people of all ages and backgrounds can grow in their relationship with God through Jesus Christ, learn about the Bible in a way relevant to daily life, and build healthy, thriving friendships and families.
In June 2019, Steven and Jennifer, their three girls, and one other couple moved to Murfreesboro from West Tennessee. They dreamed of starting a diverse, multigenerational church. On January 12, 2020, they began weekly prayer meetings with 11 other team members.The team continued to grow during the remainder of 2020, even during a global pandemic.
Avenue Church held its official launch service on January 17, 2021, with eight salvations and 167 in attendance.
Over the last three years, Avenue has seen many more decisions for Christ, and 56 take their next step of obedience with water baptism. Avenue Church is committed to making a difference locally and globally. Since launch, we have served hundreds of hours and given tens of thousands to local outreach organizations, American church planters, and global missions. Even as a portable church, we are committed to helping people experience God's unconditional love, find their identity in Christ alone, and live out the purpose He has for them.
